CARTER CARB 7029202 DH
tammyscott2000:
Hope someone can help. I have a 1969 Camaro SS 350/300HP Survivor car.
Engine build code dates April 19th 1969. Transmission is a Turbo 350 with a date code of April 21st 1969.
The Chassis Broadcast copy sheet has a build date of June 25.
This survivor car does not have the correct carb on it.
My question is the carb listed in the on the protecto plate calls for a Carter Quadjet 7029202 DH.
I have located one but its build date is A9. (January 1969).
Is that carb build date to early for my car?
Any info would help. Thanks.

Do you know which plant built your SS? My delivery date is very close to your broadcast sheet. I have a SS 350 Auto as well with a engine assembled in late May(E). Original carb - from carter- is dated E9
tammyscott2000:
Built in Van Nuys.

generally, I believe you should be looking for either a D9, E9, or F9. What is the date of the starter? Distributor? the Carb should be closer to these dates as they were installed during the vehicle assembly and not at the engine assembly plant

What is the difference between units 7029202 DH and 29202 DH other than the obvious "70"? I have a 29202 DH 098 9 with an encircled number on the rear of the main body reading 7037931 ..
Thanks in advance.
