Neat find
« on: July 17, 2016, 02:57:40 AM »
I went  to the local Burger King Cruise in tonight. On a good night they will have a hundred cars. They had two first generation Camaros one I had not seen before. I looked at the trim tag and it's the same week as my Z28. I looked at the VIN number and it was 6 behind mine. So the next time we get to Park beside each other and maybe we'll see if they remember going down the assembly line together

Wow what are the chances after 40 years they would only be a few feet apart. If it is somewhat stock it would be a treat to check your bolts hardware and dates vs his.

Pretty neat to have two cars so close together. The car built two before mine was on eBay years ago. Figured that was as close to mine as I'd ever see.

Next month I will get pictures of them beside each other! I took the gtx last night. First time it's left the garage this year.

Very cool. It's neat to imagine them on the line with 5 non-descript cars between them.
I saw a VIN and tag was on ebay that was 3 behind mine, but a different build week.

Recently, I found a car that was 19 earlier than mine at a show in Bowling Green, Ky. I don't peruse eBay enough to say if something closer has popped up. Bill, was this other car the same color? Cars were painted in batches. I assume that is why the car I saw was H.O.like mine. You said you saw another Camaro? But you did not say if it was another Z?

It  was a garnet red with black top. It's now black with silver stripes. X11. Engine changed. Looked like an RS but not sure if it was originally.
