Repro window sticker, and other obviously replaced 'stickers' on the car (emissions, tire pressure, air cleaner, etc), BUT.. other than that that car appeared to be a 'used' but original 69 Z28 with houndstooth interior, ZL2, and other options.  Did you see anything else about that car that disturbed you?   

(Personally it appeared to look 'original' to me with the exception of a few areas that had been updated, but I'd have loved to see some undercarriage, underfloor pix to see what the use in NY had done to it)...

Although most of us here are 'skeptics' of what we read in auto sales advertisements, especially those from 'used car dealers'..

Probably the real deal; text states it was repainted. Paint is really bad, needs to be redone. Front fenders stick out like a sore thumb; probably replaced when it was painted-fender reinforcements were not painted as original. Also wonder about the quarters since the louver trim was added. Lots of incorrect details, missing AIR system, chrome fender braces, incorrect radiator cap, broken fan lever. I like the TTs personally but finding a set of YHs for it will be expensive.

Probably not the most popular paint/trim combo.

W/S is so bad it is funny. ECL errors, incorrect option pricing, incorrect information, missing information. How can a car with Deluxe Front Shoulder Belts have standard rear seat belts?

I like the gold/black, but the brown vinyl while refreshing to see something different, isn't my cup of tea. I think there shooting a bit high with the price. Even if the window sticker was an original, I would say that is to high considering what needs to be corrected. Although if the whole car hadn't been repainted and was all original in its current condition, then it might be considered a deal by todays unrestored standards. I am guessing that is what the dealer is shooting for. I think by the time you had it painted correctly, vinyl top, and all the little stuff, it would be tough to find a buyer that likes brown vinyl tops, that would pay you what you had into it. So who ever gets it is really going to have to fall in love with the brown vinyl, and want to keep it for a long time, IMO.

Gary, you are exactly right! Every time I see any of these cars with so called "real" docs and real numbers from any dealer AND or at auction, I'm skeptical!!

Hopefully people google these VIN's and get to read all of our words of wisdom before they buy.

The auction has been updated to note reproduction window sticker. It was quite obvious a repo sticker and most likely an over site by whom ever posts there ebay adds. I've looked at some corvettes owned and sold by this dealer, and he's had some nice ones. The car looks like a solid driver (not survivor) that can be driven as is.  Seems like a fair price but as always you need to put some eyes on it. If one wanted to bring this to concours standards you'd be way upside down....
