Hey guys, so as some of you know I have been looking for an original LOF soft ray (tinted) windshield for my (late 08C) 69 Camaro, and while I have run across a handful, some clear and some tinted I haven't found one that fits the bill yet.
(yes I know they reproduce it)  :)
I thought I would put this on here though for any of you guys with later cars built September or October, or November of 69. This guy has a complete set of original glass on eBay.

I was going to make him an offer on all of it just for the windshield, but he sent me a close up of the etching and it is dated YV, (october of 69). So, to late for my car. So I thought I would pass it on to the next guy who may have a late car, or just a guy who has a 69 and is looking for a complete set of glass, and isn't worried about the date. The glass is in PA.
P.S. - I do not know the seller, just texted with him to get the pics of the windshield which were not on the auction.

Hope this helps someone out.

Austin,

Some of us here might be interested in seeing the 'closeup' of the etching that he sent you...   Can you post it?  I'm curious if there were any changes in the etching pattern during those very late '69 production months...

Sure Austin, unfortunately it takes both photos to get an 'almost complete' photo of the logo (given that the man's 'hand' wasn't the best background for the logo to show up!).. :)    Here they are..  october '69 date..

One more try.  (I tried posting this second image a dozen times today; each time the site would lock up...??)..
OK Austin... I can only say that the seller sure didn't make much effort to get you a clear image of the logo; didn't even clean the glass, OR use a decent backing to show the logo...

hey it took me 4 months just to get the up close images of the windshield. Just bummed the windshield was dated a later than the side glass.
The auction is a "or best offer " type auction, so somebody might be able to get all of it for $300 or so and I think be ok.
