Anyone know what this Bracket is for on a 69 Coupe
« on: January 30, 2016, 11:56:31 PM »
I was looking at a 69 Camaro today in the process of being restored. I spotted a bracket on the firewall behind the drivers side front fender.  Does anyone know what this was used for? It looks original to the car.

Thank You for the quick reply, I was just looking at this Camaro today with some friends and the owner and we couldn't figure out what the bracket was for.

Its actually part of the vacuum can, the spot welds to the canister have either been torn off, or rusted off.

Is it spot welded or crimped on with those 4 "fingers"?

Thanks guys for all the info.  Turns out this was a factory air car but the cowl and firewall have been replaced with non air replacement panels.
