I don't think a 4-bolt block (prior to machining) is worth that much without some 'original stamping' value (which that one did not have).   now..  IF the machining (boring, line honing, etc) had been done and done by a good machine shop you trust, then it's well worth $500..  as the machine work would cost close to that.

I have a 4-bolt main 350 block from early '70's that had been in my shop since early 80's which I disassembled late last year and had the local machine/speed shop check out (was thinking of a 383 for my EC)..  no cracks or other problems; std bore which the machine shop told me would be good with an 0.020 overbore which I'd put on someone for $200.. OBO...  :)
That block in Bedford had been machined and supposedly ready for build. But I don't know who machined it,  I didn't ask that question. I have an idea where it was done, another local shop with race-engine background. I was there investigating its Z28 history and I agree with you Gary, if the machining was done correctly it's not a bad price. Does your $200 include delivery?🤑

Gary are you setting up a booth? Sounds like Darrel is and I am hoping to come down and walk the site and maybe meet up with some other CRG members. Looks like Darrel's next to the cafeteria which is really convenient.........

No Barry,  I'm not setting up a booth...  I'm generally a 'buyer' rather than seller, although I have begun trying to pass along parts I've had for years that I now know I will never use (such as the 350 4-bolt block that Dale inquired about).  I volunteered to *deliver* that block to him if he came to the Nashville meet.. :) ..  $200 for a hot tanked, magnafluxed (no crack), never bored/machined 4-bolt 010 block is a good deal no?? :)  Huntsville Engine machine shop told me it would clean up great with an 0.020" overbore.

I do hope to see Darrell, as well as Steve and Bronze-guy there, and do a little trading perhaps.. :)  I had inquiries from 3 or 4 different CRG'ers about 1 or more of the DF wheels I have.  If you are going to be at the Nashville meet and want to do some trading, let me know and I could bring them (and save quite a bit on shipping).  I also have an AMD rad spt in the box, a '309' US master cylinder (an original one and a new repro one) and a few other parts I don't need that I could bring.  If anyone has interest, PM me.
