This car is well known on this site, and many, many pics are in this thread.

But thought this car should be in this section.

I agree, Danny's car is one of best examples of an original, untouched '68 Z/28 out there!  :)

Hey guys, Thanx.. I like this new addition to the CRG.
I just spent 23 hours last Friday, Saturday and Sunday getting Raquel's body mostly surface rust free. LOT'S of Elbow Grease to say the least. Also took SOS pads to all the chrome and then waxed the whole car. It is the best it has ever looked. I did this in preparation for my "Muscle Car Review" shoot. Car will be featured in an upcoming issue. David Featherston did the shoot. We took the car to the local airport and used the hangers area. The photos here were shot by myself during the shoot. I took another 178 with the windows down the next day! I will add some more before and after. It is pretty dramatic. I wanted the car to look like this for the MCACN show, but just couldn't make it happen. Still have a ways to go as it never ends. As you are going along you see many more places. But overall, I think it turned out pretty nice. No more giant chunks of rust!.. Danny

This is a good example of the rectangular groove in the spoiler vs. the radius type in Skip's late 09D 69Z orange survivor.

Some other interesting things pictured while at MCACN. Yellow crayon mark which was on our 68Z and I have noted on at least two others in very close proximity to each other.

Tape or some type of material used under mount so water would not get into interior during water test. JohnZ has mentioned this test and assumption why the material/tape is found there.

The tape was used to hold the rubber mounts in place so they wouldn't fall off during assembly. The subframe was installed before the water test.

Kurt that doesn't sound correct. Look at the pic. The glue is on the floor. I'll look for other pics.

Agree Dave! Here is a picture of Skip's which I posted on that cars thread which shows the tape and what looks like some type of adhesive used to place/stick tape to underbody of car similar to what Charley was referring to.

Yup, I now see the glue.
I am all screwed up. I remember seeing that stated once but it was, and I am wrong.
The subframe was not installed for the water test, so that's what the tape is for - the water test.
The subframe was built up by Chevrolet, with the engine/trans.

Thanx Mr. Darrell...

So Chick, his good Buddy Skip, and I, were talking about the spoiler end filler plates {or whatever they are called}at MCACN. Skip mentioned there should be no paint under them. Chick and I, under further inspection noted paint on the screw heads. So just wanted to get that pointed out and show a couple pic's. I was in the trunk for the lock pic, and thought I would pull the plates... Danny
