I had read that story about a year ago it seems (even though the story is dated 3/15). Nice find with the paperwork. Someone may have posted on the CRG? thanks for including the link.

The first owner won this car after the 70 models were out, but the letter informing him of winning is dated June 27, 1969. Can this be correct? The current owner thinks factory transmission was Muncie 4 speed. The letter from Standard Oil states "3 speed manual. I just thought that was odd.

So I am not the only one who caught that, I thought I was just a little crazy

Jerry Heasley doesn't always let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Note the note on the order - the winner was pay for the powerglide. Gee, guess what it came with. Highly doubt it was a dealer swap.

What I want to know is: 10 or 12-bolt rear?
And nice original interior - when will he hack in a console.....

I wouldn't call that writing then. More like repeating.
Just looking at the docs disproves a good chunk of the story.

They don't consume themselves with the writing they are intralled with the picture collectors.Picture collectors don't read they just stare at the pictures :)
