I see a fuel and vapor hose kit for sale at Ricks, but I think I might be missing a metal line between the fuel filter and the vapor line. Pics of what I have are attached. I have an NOS fuel filter to install, but my vapor hose is cut. I would like to fix this, but I don't know what its supposed to look like and where can I get the best reproduction parts? (I would buy used or nos, but I assume both are going to be impossible to find.)

I found the metal vapor line in the trunk. I had an A-Ha moment after looking at fuel line pictures, I already had something that looks like this. So I just need the vapor hose kit. And if anyone has pics on the proper way the hose to vapor lines are supposed to appear at the connections please, that would be very helpful.

Boston14 - are you putting the original style air cleaner on your L48, and have you found the correct crankcase breather hose? I'm still trying to figure out where to find this.

I had the same style "plug" in mine only at the rear exiting the rail. The rubber had been disconnected from the fuel sender, the metal lead removed then sealed with bathroom caulk. The seal to the rubber hose was the insertion of a self-tapping screw and left as is.

When I replaced the tank and sender I wondered if there would be any fuel in the line. I put the rubber end into a container and shot air through the front and sure-enough the line was full of fuel. It wouldn't light so it was stale but since the front part of the system was intact fuel had been keeping the line full all those years. I let the line air dry a few hours before hooking the hose to the new sender and starting the car up.

So I would recommend that you disconnect your plug and the tank end and chase any fluid out that you find, why contaminate the fuel in the tank. Collect the contents and look for rust or other particles that may cause you issues down the road.

I second this question - does anyone know where to get a used/ repro breather hose/ and fitting?( valve cover to air cleaner)All I have found thus far are the 90* fittings that are incorrect for the L48 - that and a stovepipe(exhaust to air cleaner)

Worm gear clamps correct? No. I am sure I have the correct spring clips. This is how it was when I got it and I have not really done anything with this car in eons. Anyone want a numbers SS 350 car?

Well I've got something lined up wrong. To get the fuel line and vapor line to line-up I had to put the top of the vapor line behind the fuel-to-carb line. But it doesn't they don't line-up near the pump, and the AIM shows the vapor line in front of the fuel-to-carb line and clipped nicely near the pump. Sadly I don't know if this was an original vapor line, it was in my pile of long-ago purchased parts. Or maybe I just have it messed up.

Suggestions on where I can get the correct clips?

spin the filter forcing the vapor line to the front.
I believe I purchased my re-pro's from steve's or rick's
I have seen them at classic industries
