My car also has power steering, and although I (think I) drive with a light touch, the car is too easy to turn, IMO. I recently learned the car originally ran with "arm strong" steering, and the power steering was added after its Trans Am period, and was used mostly for SCCA endurance races. I will be removing the power steering, for originality and reliability. I don't think in a 25 minute race you really need it.

Thanks.

Our races last 1 hour. It's really not a problem of physical endurance but more an issue of placing the car in slow corner. It simply needs to much effort to turn in slow corner and we loose time there.
We are currently fitting a PS system to the car and will test it during the last round of our championship first week-end of October. Hopefully as a racing PS it will not be too easy to turn and compromise the handling.
