Do I have a real 1967 RS/SS?
« on: November 28, 2006, 10:43:06 PM »
I put a posting on a few days ago and now have pictures to help the Experts of CRG help me understand if I do own a real RS/SS.
Picture #3 is the numbers stamped on the front body under the cowl panel. Picture# 5 is the VIN and # 6 is the stamp on top of the transmission. Picture # 7 is the side of the transmission (Is this a M-20 or M21 trans??) and # 8 is the tag bolted to the trans. (what does it mean?)  Picture # 10 is the front pad on the motor and # 12 is the rear of the motor, # 13 is H186 on the motor. Picture # 15 is the axle tube it is PF0913G with an E under it. The center section of the 12 bolt has a H296 and 3894860 stamped on it.  What is the gear ratio??  Is it a Ppsi?  Is this car rare or fairly common?  Thank you all for your help!

Matt,

PF on the axle tube stands for 12-bolt 3.31 posi and I beleive the E is for Eaton and varifies the posi...

Looks correct to me, but I don't have the database.
