Speaking of areas prettier than around here. And speaking of Tennessee, how close are you to this place Darrell ?

My wife and I, and most likely another couple, are talking about taking a spring trip. Like to go this fall but too many time constraints. Would be pretty cool to look you up and check out your Camaros in person.

No wonder my Z's never getting done, lol. Gotta go now. Time to start replacing my porch columns with composites.

Go Bucs! I just love college ball. Probably will not catch too many early season games as weather can be nice, too nice to sit inside in the early fall. Good weather days amount to a dozen or less, here, in Ohio. Probably will start some serious viewing in October....of course there is fall Turkey and Deer season and some real good car shows in Oct. as well. Decisions?

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are roughly 3 hours away from me..  That is east Tennessee and I am near Nashville (middle)...

How about them Vols. Did not sleep to well last night was thinking about a swap meet today. Hey Steve do you think I could take Smokey with me in a couple to the Good Guys car show to sniff out some Camaro parts.

I'd be willing to bet you can keep ahead of him on sniffing out the keepers. Probably get him to pack them back for you (which would take some of my load bearing duties off - ).

Just kidding, of course -

When you go, run down the road to Sevierville and check out this one - helps round out the trip. The mountains are pretty enough, but a good dose of muscle helps pass the time -

Been a Floyd Garrett follower since I saw his '61 Impala SS in Super Chevy in the '80's, plus I got to see his '9 ZL1 at Super Chevy Bristol in person and discuss the car. He's a great guy and a great Chevy man to boot -

Regards,
Steve

Ditto that.  Floyd is a super nice guy.  I remember when we went up there and didn't see Mr. Garrett the whole time we were inside until we get back outside and he's outside looking over dad's 1st pacer..   ;D   Cant remember if it was the Rod Run, Grand Run or the Camaro Nationals at the Grand Hotel back in '96-'97...

Saved the link in favorites. Our wives are into motorsports/ classic (more race bred) cars and would enjoy. Wanna make a long weekend out of it.

Pretty sure it was the Grand - wife and I were there. Remember it distinctly - Carman drove it through one of our infamous monsoons the night he got there (going to dinner), had it clean as a whistle the next morning. He was never afraid to jump in one and drive it wherever the show was - no trailer queens in your family for sure.

Thanks for jogging my memory -
