Original Cowl Induction Throttle Arm
« on: August 08, 2015, 01:03:44 PM »
Is there any way to tell an original or gm piece from a reproduction-was at a friends house and he had a cowl induction throttle arm-he wasn't sure if it was a reproduction or not-the only stamping I saw was  "C" stamped on it-whats a gm one worth? Thanks in advance!
Keep on Cruising!

I would not base worth off of what Heart beat city charges. They charge a ton, and not 100% the right parts being sent out, or description is off.

Do some research on eBay, for closed auctions. When you see multiple listings for the items selling that should be a good indicator.

Good luck.

Back in the day CPX had the switch bracket reproduced by a local tool shop. All you needed was a '68-'69 ['67s are shorter] throttle arm to weld it on. Sold hundreds of those with directions on where to position it for welding.
Learning more and more about less and less...

There was one on C.L. Los Angeles for the last couple of weeks, ( may still be there) seller claims original. no where near $ 500.00.
