My 68 L30/M20 - Now With Correct P01 Wheel Covers!
« on: August 05, 2015, 07:14:48 PM »
I finally got around to installing a set of NOS P01 wheel covers on my 68 L30/M20 convertible, and I want to show it off.

The car is now set up like it was for the majority of the 160,000 miles it covered with my Dad behind the wheel.  Although not factory-correct, my father ran nothing but RWL Polyglas F70-14 tires throughout the life of the car.  Seems appropriate to keep running them.

Comparison of 7/6/1968 and 8/1/2015:

^^That's where I put everything else so the Camaro can fit in the real garage.  :)

Yes indeed.  They built exactly what I wanted.

If you are worried about the Camaro having a safe place in your regular garage, then look into an industrial curtain.  My Camaro resides behind one.  It keeps the area clean, allows me to dehumidify a small area, and it has stopped various projectiles from damaging the car.  I got mine from http://www.curtain-and-divider.com/

Really Nice car! That's awesome that the car has stayed in your family all these years.

Well looking to temporarily store her while the garage is renovated, then the "shed" would store the other gas power equipment hogging space in my pre world war two two car garage. How much id the version you bought cost?

Mine is a 10' x 20' with an insulated garage door and some custom side windows.  I think I spent a little over $5k including site prep.

Thanks for all the kind words.  I used to have rally wheels on it, but I'm very happy with my decision to run the original wheel covers.
Here are a few more pics:

I know, not the correct air cleaner, but it sounds so good with this one on it.
