1st gen Camaro brake duct pictures
« on: July 15, 2015, 12:59:11 PM »
As you know I would like to improve my braking distance (delco Moraine calipers, s...ty discs and PFC pads) and cooling might be one of the key.

If you have any pictures of front cooling ducts on a 1st gen Camaro that would be helpful.
I have already seen on this board the 69 Camaro of the Penske team with fabricated alloy ducts.
Any other solution here ?

Thanks

I run my hose inside the actual subframe, then exits out a "window" cut just in front of the spring pocket. This saves lots of room, protects the hose from all the monkey-motion going on, and really makes for a clean, straight shot to the center of the disc.  Ken

I have notice that many of the cars do not have front brake ducting. They just run without the dust shield. Here are two example of ducts. The first pic is Mike Eddy's Falcon which does not have a front bumper or lower valence panel and the other three pics are from Chad Raynal's '69 Camaro. These are photos that I took.
