From the same forum member, some posts display the signature and some don't, and it seems to be a random thing; more obvious in longer threads where people reply more than once.

I thought a weird question would be how do we get into messages? since they are not on the home page anymore. But I agree I have seen a few things change it seems . Maybe they are still working on it?

It's a setting that the signature is shown once but not on further posts in the same thread.
I had noticed it but wasn't absolutely sure it what it meant. Seems silly. Fixed.
