1969 RS Headlight Bucket Shim

(1/5) > >>

Edgemontvillage:
I'm trying to locate information on assembly line correct shim(s) used on 1969 Rally Sport headlight buckets. There is a related CRG topic dealing with a 1968 RS however the thread does not specify if 1969 RS shims are the same or if there is more than one size.  Are they zinc or manganese phosphated?

# 3903452, dark phosphate and they are the same for all 3 years. Never seen an original picture of the shim in question so I do not know if the ones being sold on eBay and others have the original shape and thickness.
If anyone has pictures of original shims I am sure all on this forum would appreciate seeing them.

That looks just like the correct A-Arm shims for aligning the front end.
The originals do not have a hole in them.

Lloyd,
I have never seen a 69 RS with shims on the headlight buckets. Were they really used?
