Air Cleaner Stud '69 ?
« on: April 05, 2015, 06:13:52 PM »
I was told years ago that this was an original Chevrolet air cleaner stud for 1969. Would this also be correct for '68, or late '68? ... Danny

Looks to be in between 2-1/4" & 2-5/16ths".   Or 58.49mm  Or 2 & 39 over 128.  ;D   But just holding a tape up to it, I bet they call it 2.25".. D

Air cleaner studs are application-specific; 7 different part numbers for '69.

Don't have engineering drawings so I can't ID it.

That list of applications, with the exception of the 57-64 passenger car, suggests that this stud may have been specific to Holley carburetors.  I can't explain how the earlier cars fit the equation but the '67-'70 applications could definitely be connected to Holley.

Oil bath air cleaner assemblies were deeper than std units.
