I think the sender is Brass with Black plastic tower. I will take a digital picture of both and Email it to you as I am unsure how to post pictures on this site. The Car is Up on a Drive on hoist with a 67 Z28 underneath as well as other cars behind. It might take me a day or so as I have to climb up on a ladder.

Can you post a pic of your plastic connector?

Also, some say the sender was always brass, but others say some were not.  Which is yours?

Thanks

What is the correct coolant temp sensor for 69 Camaro V-8 w/o gauge package. Pin or spade connector? Pictures? Thanks, Steve.

My 06A RSZ28 came with no consol and a center Fuel Guage, it has the Original GM assembly Line Installed Pin connector type sender ( like Ed Posted) and the plastic connector is off white.

No problem.

Email me the best pics you can get.  I will crop and "dummy them down" enough to post here.

Thanks.

Mike, that's the correct assembly line sender for 69 V8's without gauges.

Just to get this straight since I have a 68.  Lynn do you need the temp connector with the push on pin end?

Mike: Great pics.

And yes, I have a correct sending unit.  I need the temp connector for the push on pin.

I've got one.  I cut it off of mine and its a little close, but if the connector will come out of the plastic thing I think you could crimp it on.

Sorry Daniel, but it is an old one that came on a head I purchased years ago.  Still works.  I have no idea if they are still available.

You can release the pin from the connector with a micro flat bladed screwdriver about .050 wide and .025 thick.

THIS WILL/SHOULD REQUIRE NO EFFORT!!
IF THE WIRE AND TERMINAL DO NOT SLIDE OUT EASILY YOU HAVE NOT RELEASED THE TERMINAL FROM THE PLASTIC CONNECTOR

A bobby pin (hair pin) works well if you pull the plastic coating off it.

This is for removal of PLASTIC CONNECTORS which have FEMALE BLADE receivers.

With the connector mates unplugged -
1.Take the wire from the rear and push it and thus the brass terminal end forward in the plastic connector,
2.Slide the screwdriver down the front of the plastic connector, there is a groove which the micro screw driver will slide into, in turn releasing the female side blade terminal.
3. With screwdriver still in slide the terminal and wire out the back. Males sides are a different procedure.

As noted the reproduction temp sending unit plug is correct however the plastic connector is black VS white.
