68 L-89 with Heavy Duty clutch

If anyone is interested in the above engine, the guy who I bought an 837 alternator from has one freshly built. I have told him to send me pics of the stamp and price. If anyone is interested PM me and I will put you in touch with him.

It would be an interesting block, seeing there are no engine codes in 68 for a HD clutch.
And in 69, no cars were built.

What are you referring to with the "no cars were built" Kurt?  I know that I have seen "JU" coded blocks.  Maybe you referenced "KE" coded blocks?

"none known" is different then "none produced"  -  I have seen a factory JU coded block

Production totals for the blocks are zero. Car totals are zero too.
Was the JU block in a car or a service block?

I recall seeing one MA6 block that was apparently built and then reworked by the engine plant and sold as a service block.

It was in a car Kurt - I don't believe that I looked for a VIN stamp because it was just a 396/325 motor & dated wrong for the car that it was in.  It didn't have a CE stamp. Original looking stamp though - who re-stamps a 396/325 just for HD clutch?  The owner wasn't even aware of the significance of "JU".  I'm just trying to add to the conversation here guys - I did not take a picture of the block.

Maybe it was originally from a Chevelle or Vette with the HD clutch?

HMMMM - It's an odd thing (to me) that 250,000 Camaros were ordered and not one with MA6 in any engine?  Are you sure that the engine production statistics aren't homologated under the most common engine+trans ECL?  Again - not a biggie - I'm certain of what I saw, but can't explain the contradiction???

Corvettes did get it.
I had to use a L-88 clutch disks in my Z/28 because the stock disk would throw the lining off at high RPMs. also the 10.5 diameter disk with a 11 inch pressure plate would shift better because the edges of the disk would not feather out like using the 11 inch disk
