original DZ carburetor?
« on: August 17, 2014, 06:34:49 AM »
Hi fellows. I may have stumbled upon something and hope someone can help. I have what appears to be an original GM DZ carburetor. Stamped on the choke horn are these Holley numbers from top to bottom: 3923289-DZ  LIST 4053   902.
It has the appropriate choke pull-off.
The PCV hose tube is on the right-hand side of the baseplate.

Looks like you got yourself a 1st. week of October 1969 Z28 Carb. I think that is correct. Wait for the guys to chime in. I would get some pictures posted, as there are many parts that can be incorrect that cause the value to change. Like proper base plates etc.... Danny

I believe it would be the second week of Oct. 69, not the first.
