Replacing a freeze plug in the Car?

I'm going to cry on your shoulder for a minute. Today was the first time this car and motor have started via the key in over 30 years. The motor was rebuilt and dynoed March of 2020. It took until now to get it buttoned up and ready to run. After firing it up, the rear freeze plug on the drivers side is leaking. It appears to have small hole in it. The motor is a 396 with headers and power steering. Being a Camaro web-site you know what a PITA working on Camaro with a BB is add headers and power steering. I'd like to try add replace it in the car, but don't know if that can be done. Anybody tried? I'm not the type to use one of those replacement rubber plugs. Any ideas or help is appreciated.

If you have one that's leaking, the others might not be too far behind....Sorry...Joe

I guess you could use one of those rubber ones that expand as you tighten them. Just a temp fix. If you continue to drive it then keep a couple in the trunk as well.

I was thinking the same thing Joe. The shop that rebuilt the motor may not have replaced them, because they looked so nice from when the motor was redone 12 years ago. If I have to pull the motor I'll do them all, if I can do it in the car I'll do just the left side.
