Did all cowl induction air cleaners have the vent tube??
« on: July 10, 2014, 05:51:03 PM »
I went to look at some bumoers for my sons 67RS.Started talking with the guy and he said he had a cowl induction air cleaner that he took off a 69 Camaro 30 years ago. It apperars to be a flat bottom one but when I flipped it over there was no vent tube? The snout looked like a Gm one-maybe it was for something else. Sorry my camera died so no pictures. May go back though. Thanks in advance for all your inut!

Thanks-wonder what it is off of-it had the correct camaro flange with th "W" stamped on it-and seems to be the same diameter as a cowl air cleaner-and a flat bottom!

'69 would obviously need the crankcase vent inlet tube.  How else would PCV air get in the crank case?

Makes me think about the '67 crankcase ventillation system.......Not sure about that one.  Maybe somone more familiar with the '67 setup will add soemthing here?   HMMMM???
