Just crawled under my car, and the trans stamp matches the stamp on this car. The 6 in my partial is the same as the three 6's in this cars partial. The original block from my car is at my engine builder( another long story) so I can't compare the partial by my oil filter. The partial on my trans is in the same spot on the trans as this car and was assembled the same day. I wish mine was an m-22 like this one! I would have to say the trans stamp is legit.

I like the fact that it is a M22 car, but kinda takes away from it that it has power steering ??? I am not sure why someone would order the heavy duty close ratio trans with Power steering back then. Then again I am not a big power steering guy. A couple of my big block cars came with it, so I just left it on.

How about a new post about your motor??

My car has power steering as well. I took it out when I bought the car in 1978. I was 22 at the time. Sometime after I turned 50, I was cleaning out my mothers house and found a very heavy box upstairs in the garage. In the box was my complete power steering setup. Once you turn 50, power steering looks a lot better! I will put together the story of my original block and start a new thread. It's a long read!

Yes, beautiful car.. I had to go back and refresh my memory via the photos..!

Adjusting the muffler, clamps, and tail pipes should be 'Job 1', unless it's been done already.. :)

I proudly hail from Flagstaff AZ, a transplant from 3 generations of family who have lived in Phoenix. Will be looking for tips on tuning for 7500 ft elevation for the summer months fun runs. I will carefully baby it but it will be no trailer queen

I think the dealer came to grips with, priced right the car will move, not everyone is Barrett Jackson/Mecam inebriated and silly. Its a great car with original drivetrain and a special transmission that I'm going to love
