Both have: Service With Delco Parts

Version 1 has: Use Delco Brake Fluid
67 & 68 cars &
11D
12B
01C
03B

Version 2 has: Use Delco SAE J1703 Brake Fluid
01C
03E
07A
09D
09C

So apparently there was a transition in mid-69 when both were used.

I'm assuming all 67 & 68 cars have the Version 1 cover. I have never seen anything to contradict that.

Thanks!

I don't have many important pieces still left on my car that I could reasonably believe were original BUT I do believe that this master cylinder/cover/booster is original.  This is a valid datapoint for this '69 Z built first week of October '68.  So glad I have something to contribute.  ;D

Date Code for above.  Should line up for a 10A of '68 for a '69 model year car.

My 10A of '68 1969 Z/28 master cylinder has a date code of 241.  I believe it is original to the car?

My original cover is the version 1 style (which I still have), but I currently have the version 2 style on the car - that I stole from my Jan of '69 Z/28.

Sounds like a similar data point. Date code is 2 days away from mine and we have the same production week.

I have a good original steering box as well.  I bet those would be close too.

My original is pretty rough, but here it is if it helps. Gary's Z and my SS are only a few days apart. Our caps are the same.
You think this scratches will buff out with some time and patience Darrell? Nah, didn't think so lol. Hopefully I can clean it up some though.

So with 3 or more shown and spoke of here.....
Which cap is the one used on the 5460346 WT in 67?
Did they have more than one cap at a time or all masters as time went by change what was used?
