I thought since many of you are now paying the $50 to find out what dealer originally sold your Camaro, you may be looking for original dealer license frames, key chains or memorabilia from the original dealer that sold your car. I have been on the lookout for the original dealer license frames that sold my car "Jim Edelbrock Chevrolet"from plymouth Michigan, but I have had no luck. BUT I have helped a handful of guys locate original dealer license frames and key fobs along the way. So while I am trying to locate original frames for mine, I thought as you guys are learning who was the original dealer and if you would like to locate some original license frames, just post up who your original dealer was, as I run across them I will help as many guys as I can locate them. (if anybody else wants to help out, great!)

There are a few guys like Gary who got the original frame with their car, and I think it just looks cool to have another piece of originality to our cars if possible.

I got very lucky last year. I punched in a search on Ebay for the dealership name where my 66 Chevelle SS original black plate CA car was purchased from new, and low and behold an excellent condition, original old dealership license plate frame came up. I grabbed it. I still check from time to time on Ebay for that dealer and for my 07A X77 car dealership in case something new pops up.

The dealer on my shipping report ( Clark Hatch Chevrolet) was in business from 1955 and sold it in 1972. I might have a hard time finding anything from them but you never know.

My 66 Chevelle dealership (Gustafson Chevrolet, Eureka Ca.) and was in business from 1964 to 2000.
My 69 Z was purchased new from Wilkins Chevrolet in Norfolk Va. They are now called Bay Chevrolet but are still owned by the same family.

Roger Dean Chevrolet in Charleston WV is where our 68Z came from. Have BOS and other docs that original owner gave me. They sold out in the early 70's but have dealership/s in FL.
Ammon R Smith in York, PA is where we purchased our 69 L78 Nova. I'm always looking for their stuff. Smiley
Goodwin Chevrolet Corporation in Salem, Va is where our 69 L34 Nova came from. Just know they are out of business! Need to check them out more! Address was 1337 W. Main Street.
Submitted request for our 69Z to obtain info so we will see.

My car also has the metal plate affixed to the rear panel with the dealership name...  I used to want to remove those things, and even made it a condition of new car orders, that they not be affixed..  but I think I'm going to just remove, clean, and reinstall this one.. and the tag bracket/frame as well...

Gar, I, too, in the day, would have removed or stipulated that no insignias/placards be placed on my car(s). In the case of my old cars, with the desire to preserve and add a little nostalgia these days, my mind has me leaving or even adding some of the dealer embellishments to give the car some uniquness and a look of an untouched "time capsule". So, count me in on these small added feautures like a decal, placard or license frame. Some close friends gave me a license frame and a placard for the closed down dealer that was in our small town where I live now. I know or am real sure my car did not come from this dealer, but since I don't know and may never know, this will have to do.

Dealer on my Z was Jack Lempke in Youngstown Ohio. They are closed or sold. Only thing I found on Google was a break in around 68. Owner paid $3500 cash and remember the street name. Also mentioned a lot of legal and not legal racing running a best of 12.98. I assume it was with headers 4.88 gears and 140 cam.

Eaton Chevrolet in Washington D.C.
Haven't seen anything for them anywhere. Closed in the 70s I believe but the building is still there.
Don't know where the 68 came from, still have not submitted my info to NCRS.

That one isn't owned by me, just an auction. I have seen a handful of them on ebay. Do you have it on your car, or just as a display piece?
