1969 B.U. rear end
« on: May 02, 2014, 10:12:53 PM »
I'm looking at a B.U. rear end  with a casting date of I-7-9 and a a axle tube stamp of 0916 G2 E. Would this date work with my 1969 Z28. My date on my trim tag is 09A.

Here is a similar thread :http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=12143.0

discussing this same exact topic on a 9C car.

Only thing that seems strange to me is that yours is in the new format and is earlier than his and his still has the old format.

Can someone explain this???

The last 09A Camaro was final assembled on or about September 11. N687xxx is around the earliest VIN for that axle date.
