any idea what these rubber "mustache" pieces are?
« on: June 12, 2015, 09:36:42 PM »
My Dad had these among other 69Z parts, but I can't find any mention of them in the AIM or elsewhere.
Originally as I was sorting through everything after he passed away, I'd thought they were part of the upper control arm water/dust shields. Clearly I hadn't looked at the shields!

So now I'm completely puzzled what they are and why he might have saved them.
It is entirely possible they're from another GM car since he worked for GM his entire career.

Dimensions might not be entirely clear, but VERY roughly they are:
 width: 15inches
 height: 6inches
 thickness: 0.25inches

Thanks,
Dale

They look like the paddles from a single stage snowblower, I have some!

Thanks Keith, they definitely look like snowblower paddles!
Mystery solved, high performance paddles!
Further proof that not only do Camaro folks have good taste, but they are knowledgeable too!

Thanks again,
Dale

whoa...no way....the Camaro had a snowblower option? Combine that with a SS397/375 and you can clear all the streets in your town in minutes.  COOOOL.

If you find enough of them, attach them to the rear tires(like sand tires), put skis in place of the front tires. Then you can drive in Canada!
