Deep Freeze in N/E Ohio, too
« on: February 16, 2014, 05:27:09 PM »
Dropped some parts off to the shop today and shot a few pics--coming along, paint this spring--right on schedule--subframe/rear end this summer. To my buddie's chagrin ,requested undercoating on sides of firewall left alone--can't see it ,I know it's there and wanted it left be. In the line up is the only cancer found in the car: lips on rear quarters, pass side rear window under molding. No surprise ,I knew. And what's wrong with resto-mods  ??? :D. Billet ,tubular A arms ,big brakes ,cool wheels, lowered--what's not to like?  ;D

One more shout out to my body man--those doors were taken off , hinges/hardware shot separate and reassembled--pictures do not give the work justice. All in all when we hit the Nationals and Chicago--it's going to be his day, not mine. I can not believe how the fresh paint pops--it really needed done. I have no regrets re-doing this Z.

thanks ,like I said we're shooting for a finish date June 2015--when it gets home late spring/early summer the shells going on a body cart and the rearend/subframes getting detailed over the summer.Interior is a matter of " re-installing what I have" Mechanically engine, trans.rear end is done. Just need detailing. I want them off the car and done as a unit ,body bushings are mildly dry rotted anyway--actually all the bushings are getting replaced. Progress is sorta directly proportional to kid's college costs !
