medium green interior, dark green dash pad?
« on: June 11, 2009, 07:31:48 PM »
Has anyone ever seen an instance of this on a '69?  ???

While I believe the medium green interior got a medium green dash pad, I know at times GM did some odd stuff when it came to assembling some cars and would not surprise me if a medium green car came with a dark green pad.  What have you experts out there seen?

Thanks.

I know this was possible in 1968. Ivy green interior with dark green dash pad and dark green pillar post molding. This is the way my Camaro came from factory. Second owner car.

The pillar post mouldings were medium green. The dash pad was most probably medium green but it has been so long since I saw it that my memory may be a little fuzzy. The dash pad went straight to the trash can long ago. I still have a few medium green pieces kicking around in a box in the garage. I know I have some decent pix I could post later if needed that I collected from other complete medium green cars.

My car came originaly medium green comfortweave deluxe interior. It had been dyed back in the '70's before I owned it and the seats had been swapped out for black standard ones. NOT a pretty color I guess. ;) It was a very rare color for a good reason.

These show it pretty well. The color looks to match up pretty well with frost green body color especially with the rosewood custom interior pieces.

my fathom green/ midnight green vinyl top 69 SS with 72,000 miles on has medium green standard interior and the dash pad is dark green. It is a 01B car. I have no reason to think it is not original.

Those aren't black headrests. They are dark green faded to black. You see it on all original 723 interiors...

Thanks for the info,is the black dash pad a possibility or should it be dark green also ? It was out of the car when I acquired it.
