I wonder how the ZL-1's are selling. There has been a black one on my local lot for at least 6 months. I predict deep discounts on the Z/28's at the end of the summer. GM missed their market completely.

Or they may be counting way too much on what Car and Driver described back in May as their "thin sales lead over Mustang"....

You could be 100% correct but it seems like dealers for the most part will be ordering only for customers and not to sit on lots. Some estimates say only 1500 to 2000 will be built and the LS7 will be closed out of production it seems so some are speculating the new Z/28 could possibly be a collector car...

Don't they always say that for the most extreme/most expensive cars?  My daughters father in law just bought a 3000 mile 2009 ZR1 (listed well over 100K).  The car is perfect in and out and under hood.  Looks like it rolled off the truck for cleanup and he paid $70K...

I was at my dealer today and he didn't have his info handy but thought he just sold a base vette in the high 50s and he said the z06 were in the upper 80s.  Not sure the z06 is the new one if it went up any. He thought they would probably get a z. Would be a fun car if someone else paid for it!

Ordered it through Coughlins ( Jeg's family ?) Not a Z06, Stingray Convertible Z51--optioned what he wanted 72k. 2 more working days and he retires ,nice little present to himself. He was always into small British sports cars ,figures this one will be way more than enough. LOL

Hugger Orange is too exclusive for a '1st yr car'..  if this new car makes it to a third year, GM might consider offering Hugger Orange.. :)
