Are there complete listings for driver rosters , even club level drivers, that only ran regionally in SCCA, IMSA and so on back in the day?

ultimateracinghistory.com  is very useful - they list some of the pro series drivers but not scca.  Also check their listing of tracks and what races and dates they ran - can see who raced in the events.

RacingSportsCars is another one to check out.

SCCA does not have historical records from back in the '50s, '60s, and '70s era. Whether IMSA has anything like that, I don't know but I doubt it.

Google up   "IMSA history"  for results

Some of the SCCA regions have historians - usually older guys who kept results etc.

If you can find some SCCA monthly  "Sports Car" mags, they have results.

If you are looking specifically for Trans Am results, then Dave Friedman's book has the results for every race.

I should clarify my above post re   ultimateracinghistory  .  Trans-Am results are listed   When I said no SCCA, I meant their regular amateur club races

the big name leads were interesting and I saved the link. My specific project is finding club race entries or listings for cars that would have raced at the club level.

my 2001 copy of friedman's trans-am book is missing a crucial bit of info at the back. the O-2ltr results for the marlboro race, august 12th 1967. camaro's first win in the trans-am series. driven by donohue & fisher.

Those are the results for the under-2-liter cars. Below are the results for the 1967 Marlboro 300 over-2-liter "pony cars".
The cars ordinarily ran in the same race at other '67 Trans-Am events but not at Marlboro. They were two separate races.

thanks shadow & jon, I guess when one proof reads a book before publishing, some things can slip through the cracks. I am surprised that something so important in camaro history would be missed. It is a huge undertaking to get a book in print. It is a great book otherwise.
