I found one picture of the Las Vegas 350 on www.gettyimages.com.

The metadata states: "Las Vegas Trans-Am. The racing field files in to turn one at the start of the race. Mark Donohue of Penske racing will go on to win the in his Camaro Z28. (Photo by W.R.C. Shedenhelm/Source Interlink Media/Getty Images)"

Las Vegas 350 Trans-Am opening lap of the Stardust Trans-Am race. This is a shot from mid-pack back. Bob Johnson in the second
Penske Camaro leads the way through turn 1. I've pointed out the other Camaro drivers besides Donohue's car (which has already passed by).

Las Vegas 350 Trans-Am. Mark Donohue's Camaro leading the Shelby team Mustangs of Jerry Titus and Ronnie Bucknum. Note the
driving lights installed due to the 6PM start time. From the Car & Driver Racing Annual 1968. Shared with us by Swede70. Thanks, Mike!

Las Vegas 350 Trans-Am newspaper articles. When I tried to copy these off the microfilm from the Las Vegas public
library they didn't turn out very readable, hence I retyped them. The typos are those of the original author, not me.

Here's a race report from Car & Driver magazine, December 1967.

Here's a small bit of information on the Stardust race track from Sports Car Graphic's "Competition Year" annual for 1967.

The Flickr page of James Eugene Frank has some nice photos of the Kent 300 Trans Am race that took place at Pacific Raceways, Kent, Washington on October 8, 1967.  See them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/leicabokeh/sets/72157600168574114    A few were taken during the support races but most are of the Trans Am race.  Enjoy!

Kent 300 Trans-Am. Mustang's chances of winning took a huge hit when Jerry Titus wadded his car up into a ball during the Saturday practice session.
