I seen it. It had a ton of incorrect parts. Or I should say for a REAL Z/28 it did. Master Cylinder and so on. It could have been the real deal. Those rims looked like crap. The show is all scripted, so ya never know what is real or not. I try not to watch any of these storage war, pawn, restoration, traveling picker, idiot brother, dancing with monkeys shows. But once in a while I get sucked back in. ... Danny

I hear you on those cable shows, BUT I kind of like CCC chasing classic cars. I am sure it is edited for tv, but he has some good days and some bad. I am not the pebble beach type, but the variety of cars and condition. Is very interesting, and most of the time you see what he paid for the car initially. I think the one underlying trend I see is the desirability of nice unrestored cars. I actually saw one of my friends on a recent episode when they showed the 1955 XKSS Jaguars in Monterey, my friend Gary had the unrestored one, that Wayne was excited about.

I've been sucked in by Fast and Loud, ie Gas Monkey Garage.  No drama, just looks like a bunch of guys goofing off most of the time.

Yeah I can never figure why they don't sell some of those items online. You can tell they are gamblers and need the dough. But I can tell ya right now, if they had an expert tell me that my item is worth 12K I sure the hell wouldn't sell it to those idiots for $4,200!! I am 52 and I am only down 66 dollars in my whole life gambling. If I win $10 I just walk away and have lunch. I guess I'm just not a real gambler. Why would you play a game when you know it leans towards the house in a big way. See a casino close??? There is a reason for that. My friend said that the pawn shop was a crap hole for years. Then they got the show and fixed it all up. Now all those clowns think they are somebody. Too funny... Danny

The son needs to hit the road. My wife says he needs an attitude adjustment in a bad way. Other than that, I like the rest of those guys, especially the old man.

My Buddy met all of them. He said the old man was a total jerk. Then his son was the nicest, but WAY to easily amused. Then HIS son big hoss was also a jerk and lastly Chum lee was ok, but thought his poop didn't stink. They are never there. People contact them with a product that is worth big money. Other people handle and set it all up. Then they get several people like that. They tape the show off to the side and all prices are predetermined before taping. My friend went thru it with an antique coke clock from the late 1800's. But he shut their butt down and they didn't like it. So he didn't make the show. I have been up their seeing Elton John, Billy Joel, Queen, Cher, on and on. Every time I have gone in there, none of those clowns are there. Again, all scripted. How can ya do a cold call when the camera man is already in the house. Or in the driveway filming the van pulling in. These shows crack me up. The ice never breaks, the truck never falls thru... EVER.... Danny

ALL the "reality shows" are scripted. Modern soap operas.

All of it is BS made for TV , remember PINKS ?  Made it and ran it at Norwalk a few years ago. My car was running 10.3 and had it dialed in at 10.5 for a gasser class---never got my time slip ,word was they were looking to group 10.5 cars. They looked for a story and wrecks. Had I put the little yellow Anglia in the guard rail ,it would have made the show. ( did pull an early 426 Dodge by a fender before the first beam, love those high revin SBC's ! )

I met Wayne at mecum. Nice friendly guy and took time for pictures. Really enjoy Roger his mechanic. Some of the stuff he says! He said something last week and camera caught Wayne turning and shaking his head.

yes roger is good for a lot of one liners. He is a guys guy. Wayne seems nice, but doesn't want to get his hands dirty now a days. You can't stage the auction results, much like "whats my car worth", its interesting to see what the sell thinks the car will bring, vs what somebodies actual winning bid is.
