Interesting how all of the pics are clear except the trim tag.

Indeed it is interesting MO;  you're right,  all the pictures are clear except the trim tag.  Clear enough to see the "hit and miss" aerosol spray can paint job on the suspension.  It would have been better to have not painted the suspension at all.    Jim

The description lists a 12 bolt but I count only 10 in the picture.  ???

I called him out on the rear end. He is still stands behind the car that it is an original Z11. I did see that all pace cars were SS/RS cars and therefore would come with a 12 bolt.

I won't give it away, but that's impossible. If you really want to know why, read THIS.

Based on my limited knowledge for '69's I see two discrepancies right away after reading that article link Ed posted.
Knowledge is power (but unfortunately it can work both ways!)

Carpe Camaro, ya'll - (Southern Latin). Maybe it's the long lost prototype Pace Car in the press release; tag was reissued by GM when they realized someone would try to pass it off as original 44 years later. Reminds me of the 10 10 crossram Z on Hot August Nights BJ last week - wonder if the seller will announce a disclaimer ?

Steve

Now that I have read the link I have a question, why would they build the 2 track cars as L89s to only turn around and put back on the cast iron heads?

Though I absolutely agree that this Camaro is NOT a pace car, the 10-bolt rear is not a definitive option in determining a real pace car.  I am the 2nd owner of a numbers matching pace car that I have owned since 2000.  It has a 350 engine, a powerglide, and a 10-bolt posi.  It is also a column shift and no console car.

The earliest pace car I have in my database is 589611 and has a build date of 01C.  There is no way a 12B car can be a pace car.
