rear sway bar?

Just watched the JL8 car sell at mecum. Mentioned the rear sway bar. Was this an over the counter part for racing? I have never heard of it. Announcers said it was a jl8 car. But looked like added on stuff.

Rear stabilizer bar was never a factory option.

I thought the car was Late production thus it was too late to be a real JL8.
