Which Distributor was used on the L30 engine?
« on: June 06, 2013, 10:58:47 PM »
I have found conflicting lists on which Distributor was used on the L30  275 hp. 327.  I have found lists which say #1111124 and others that say #1111249.  I have a #1111249 with Date code 6H22 on the car.

The 1111249 is correct for a 67 L30

While on this subject, how bad is 2 months earlier for this Distributor on a Oct. 26 built Engine?  Would the fact that this is fairly early build figure into equation?

The distributor was installed at Flint when they assembled the engine, so it should be fairly close to the engine build date. It's within the normally accepted range, but in my opinion, a little too early.
