Original Tire options
« on: May 24, 2013, 08:34:53 PM »
I always see Firestone and Goodyear tires as being the original tires for our cars but what about the other tire manufacturers that were used?

Yes, thank you Phillip.  I was curious what denoted which car got which tires.  I guess that would have been the better way to ask my original question.  Original spare tire from my fathers 68.

Great pictures!  Looks like that spare never came out of the trunk.  Is your father the original owner?

Yes he was the original owner.  Also have the POP as well & yes that spare has only seen the ground once or twice.

Could you post pictures of the trunk, jack and lid?  What's the build date?
Original 68s with decent documentation are getting hard to find!  Thanks in advance.

Darrell, can you also post a close up picture of the date stamp on the jack rivet? It appears to be 0L which would be November of 1970!
