Front license plate bracket question.

(1/13) > >>

69Z28:
Anybody know how to tell the difference between a GM front license plate bracket and a reproduction? I have a chance to buy a GM bracket but seller can't say for sure if GM. There is AAC stamped on it.

Mike S:
Is the AAC stamp only for 69? I can check my 67 when I get home.
Where is it stamped?

Mike.

Not sure on the other years. There is one on ebay for 69 with the old school part number sticker and the plate has AAC stamped in it. Looks to be on the front side.

Nope, '68 license plate brackets are stamped "AAC" too.

AAC (mfg. stamping) was stamped on several parts so when you see that it is a GOOOOOOOD sign. :)
Another quick example where the ACC is stamped is on the 68/69 Z/28 power booster vac. hose bracket.
