has some interesting history "fender well signed by GM development engineer Jerry Thompson"

Jerry T.  raced Corvettes and was good friends with Don Yenko. JT also ran a 1967 Camaro with Yenko SportsCars and won a national SCCA B/P title in 1967 in a Yenko Stinger.

The 302 Z engine sort of evolved from the 327 FI Corvette engine used in SCCA

Jerry T. used the base of the FI unit to make the prototype cross ram

He did a seminar on it at Carlise a few years ago with pictures of it
