Poll #2 - T-shirt back
« on: February 19, 2013, 04:25:08 PM »
This is a vote on a concept.
Details can be changed to make the design better (some may not work as well with some colors).
The cursive font would try to match the script on the Camaro emblem.

One point of consideration regarding the voting of the back and front: I like # 5 and # 4.  #5 has the website on it,  #4 does not. If #4 ends up being the winner, then I would prefer choice #1 for the front that has the website, if number 5 then I think # 2 for the front.

I think it is important to have the website featured at least once on the shirt.

Another option: how about option # 4 with "primary research and resto...." on the top, and then the CRG logo, and the then the Camaros.org script on the bottom?

I agree, the website address should be somewhere.
And I'll also point out that it's likely that front will already have the red CRG 'emblem' on it. Making #4 and #5 a little repetitous.

you may need to reach out to the guy that put the time in to developing these images as well as numerous other ideas and examples for each members ideas that were put forward. I think the gesture would be a nice way to get us all back on the same team. I went back and looked at the original thread and he looked like he had every other response in putting someones words into another design or image. I think he showed the best of what our members can be. I also think you and HIM could have shown more tact when having a disagreement. Give it a legitimate shot, if he is to proud to meet you in the middle and accept than thats on him.
I think there is more than a few members here that would appreciate us all working together, and getting him back on our team.  ;D

Thanks Kurt

Sorry, but Marty will not be coming back.
You did not see the over-the-top emails that he was sending to me and other members, but he closed that door.

Awhile back I did a drawing of possible idea for the Camaros.org and thought I would share it. I like the look of the font chevrolet used.
The .ORG seemed to stand out more in a different font. George

I like it. Good idea with changing the font on "org". I think it does stand out more like that. WTG

X3! I hope your image will be used on whichever choice wins. Did you locate the real font, or did you make up the matching s yourself ?

I used the closest font I could find "Vladimir Script" and tweaked the "C" to match. I am sure we could get it closer on the shirt. George

George,
Take a look at Brush Script MT or House Script fonts.  The problem is typeface fonts went away around the mid-80s and are different from computer fonts today.  Besides, GM probably had their fonts for car emblems hand drawn in house back in the day.

Wonder if JohnZ knows...?

When I worked for AT&T they had media for promotional use with correct fonts and logos in a number of sizes. Maybe Chevrolet could supply approved type for use.

Phil good call. I had the Brush Script font, that is closer to the font Chevrolet drew up. Shirt screener will probably want an "ai" file that I can't write. George

George, No problem.  I've been involved with various display projects and those "back in the day" emblems are hard to exactly reproduce.

Tom, Good question!  I wonder if Chevy has some kind of media packet?

I wonder if you couldn't take the emblem and just use it - clean up the corners and chamfers/bevels - and add an s.
