if you are going to swap 4 speeds, keep in mind some of the bolt ons may need to change also.  Example: does your current speedo cable connect to the left or right side of the xmsn (may not be correct for 68 if you have a mid 60's Muncie or ?), may need a different back up light switch, etc.

Thanks to all you guys for giving me info.
I believe the speedo cable goes into the driver's side of the tranny.
As a matter of fact, my speedo always shows 10mph slower than what I'm doing.
Maybe cuz it might be a 1973 tanny??
Is the number 18N35286? the VIN?
If so, does the tranny VIN usually match the car & engine VIN???
I can't wait to get my car out of storage so I can take a closer look at things.

No, as Kurt stated, it's probably a 68 Camaro transmission, but the speedo being off depends on the gear ratio in the axle and the speedo gear in the transmission.

Yes, 18N35286x would be the partial VIN, which would match the VIN of the car and the VIN on the engine.
