Q-jet Difference
« on: February 19, 2013, 08:07:27 PM »
I have a Q-jet carb on my car that by the numbers it is for a 67 car with A.I.R. I had my carb rebuilt maybe 30 years ago and they must of slipped me a service carb in place of rebuilding my original. My car has no pollution stuff on it (never did) and I haven't notice any plug on the carb to connect the pollution hoses. This carb I have my be a combination of my original carb and a different body.

The carb I have is 7037218 BD and the book says I should have 7027202 DB. Before I spend $600.00 on a different carb the question I have is, could someone please tell me what the difference is between the two carbs?

I'd say mostly calibration tweaks, not sure if there's more to it.

You could have one of 3 carbs - http://www.camaros.org/carb.shtml#usage
