Actually the car should not have a a front bumble bee stripe at all.  The car is too early for that.  It should have white pin stripes down the sides.  Here is an ad from Dec 1966 that shows the different models.

I would ether leave the powerglide, or swap it for a TH2004R.  The TH2004R is an over drive trans (the TH350 is not) and is the same size (no need to shorten the drive shaft), but it will need another cross member to mount it.

That's a great picture of the ads. Yep it does look like the bumble bee stripe has to go. I'm thinking outside of that stripe my RS is pretty original to the period. Thanks for that ad. Its great to see.

I know what your getting at so I checked.
So yes they are disk brakes....... If they look like drum brakes....
So yes those rally wheels aren't supposed to be on there.

They could have been ordered seperately, not sure when it started. Your car looks good with them, I'm sure I would leave them if it were mine.
