OK Phil how do you do it? I've tried 2 or 3 tricks and nothing works for me.

I could have sworn that Ed has a post that tells how, but I never could find it. So it took me about four tries on my smart phone (a reference to the phone, not to me).  Copy the url you want to paste. Go to the message box. Hit the url icon. Paste your url between the two url opening and closing commands. Close off your url with a bracket = ],  before the end command. Then type HERE before the end url command.
Or at least that's what I think I did... ::)

You mean here
Aggravating, isn't it!  >:(
I got it to work this time by modifying it after first posting it.
Then it was just a matter of deleting the repetition of the link (like you got above) and typing "You mean here" after the closing ] on the link, followed by the closing url command.
But there is bound to be a way to make it work of the first try...

Yes, help ED!

Sorry guys. I didn't see this thread.

BB Code tags are similar to HTML codes. All you have to do for most of them is substitute < and > for [ and ]. In the example you're trying to accomplish, here are the instructions:

For a named link you type a "["
Then the word "url"
Then the "=" sign
Insert the actual url you want to link to right after the "=" sign
Then you type in a "]" to close the command
Then type in the text that you want it to say
After that put in a "["
Then the word "/url"
And finally the last "]" to close the command.

Note: Do not use the quotes (") above in the command. Those are just to show you what you should be typing.

Once you're done this, you'll get a NAMED link!

Ed

No problem guys. Do a Google on BB code tags and you'll find a TON of info.
