Has anyone ever came across a original 480 distributor housing that is smooth with no turn marks on it

I have been looking for a late spring 1111480 for about a year and studying a lot of photos. All the real ones I have identified have the turn marks on them. I have been looking at mostly unrestored ones though. I actually have one dated 8K30 for an early 69 if anyone out there has a late spring unrestored one in their stash of parts that they would like to trade?

I asked this question to Jerry MacNeish about this and he said they did make smooth body distributors and distributors with turn marks on them. The distributor came from Heartbeat City and I've always known them for selling  authentic parts.

All housings diameters were turned as part of the machining process at AC Delco. I've never seen a smooth body.

Did Jerry define who "they" were?

While I did not find any restamped distributors on the Heartbeat website here is a link to restamped 837 alternators that he does sell as restamped units;  http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/store/product/21545/Camaro-Alternator-1100837-dated-9C20-69  .

Thus your opinion of Heartbeat is not correct.
