Does the U17 console use the same console to floor mounting bracket as the D55?

There is a theory though that the 68 consoles used the mounting bracket without the wiring harness clip, and that all 69 consoles used the bracket with the clip. This is irrespective of whether a D55 car also had U17 or not.
This came to light from Chick's build thread over at TC, where someone posted an extract of the 68 AIM that showed the console harness taped to the trans tunnel, rather than mounted to a bracket clip. Then the 69 AIM was reviewed and the D55 detail shows the bracket with clip, suggesting that this may have been used for all console cars in 69.
Just a developing theory, but thought it should be pointed out.
