Think I saw the trim tag on this car.  It's an X22 car, can't be a pace car.

Appreciate all of the responses. Have seen the the cowl tag up close twice and it is definately an 05E not an 03E assembly date. I wish that had been the mistake. Am holding out hope that it still an original Pace car with a transplanted engine. Have gone down to the oil filter area of the block and removed any paint and there is not even a trace of any numbers. That coupled with fact that the suffix code stamped on the pad is pretty much dead center as opposed to being off to one side tells me that it is restamped engine from another Chevy. However I'm told that much like all X-coded cars there should be an x coded factory crayon mark behind the passenger rear seat at the top of the metal. Thought I read recently as I have been researching this that the correct code for Pace cars is X-0 much like the X-7's and X-3's of Z-28's. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
