350 Engine #7N239725
« on: February 12, 2013, 04:08:44 AM »
Hello, I just got a 350 engine from a friend and after checking the numbers I believe it is from a 1967 Camaro. There are two numbers stamped on the block pad 7N239725 and the other looks like V06IbMS. On that second number I'm not sure if it's an O or 0 and after the I it looks like a lower case b, may be a funky 6? The casting number on the back is 3892657. Date number is F 1 7. Crank is forged #2690. Heads are both #3782461 with 2.02/1.60 valves. With the long block I got a water pump, alternator, dampener, crank pulley and water pump pulley. I do not know how much if these parts are original to the engine but I tried to get all the numbers off everything that I could see.     I got the engine from a friend who pulled it from an early 60s Chevy that he put a big block in. I was going to use the engine in my rod until I checked the numbers and thought maybe somebody needed or wanted it to make a Camaro original or maybe closer to original than what they had. I'd consider selling all together or parts. Please email me if you'd like more information. I have many pictures I can send of stampings, casting numbers, etc. I think the size is just too big to post here. Thanks, Jerry.

You're right Jerry. The 7N239725 indicates a 1967 Camaro assembled at the Norwood, OH plant, and the V0616MS indicates an L48 (SS-350) engine assembled at the Flint, MI plant on June 6th, 1967. Unfortunately, the car's not in the database, but it may still be out there somewhere, so thanks for posting it and welcome to the site!
