A gentleman on Facebook has a 68 Camaro he bought it from a guy and the guys uncle whom passed away was supposedly the original owner. He's trying to get any information, the car is badged as SS RS and has the correct lights, rear is 12 bolt rear with MU 350. Car has been repainted and no SS hood on it. He's not trying to sell only figure out if it's real SS and RS car.

A stock head would use a single spring 1.25 z/spring and it is 100 psi seat pressure installed on stock components. Works up to .500 lift hydraulic flat tappet, any more cam and clearance needs checked.on retainer to guide.

I set my springs at 120 pounds at seat pressure, per manufacturer specs. But my room is up to .650 lift, the cutter cut my guides for a specific Teflon valve seal, and my cam is only .500 lift hydraulic roller.

Heck I did my own spring seats, never done em before, it wasn't hard other than buying the correct bit for my new springs, I bought shims and a spring seat tester, took time but wasn't hard to do

He's not selling, it's on a car for sale site on Facebook. This particular person added his opinion on the car being a true ss with the 10 bolt rear end.

A fellow on another site for selling cars states that CRG is incorrect on a 68 Camaro SS 10 bolt rear. Where as I stated information from this site that all true SS cars are 12 bolt rear cars. His information is coming from a Hemmings article on how to find true SS 68 Camaros. He then states he knows for a fact because he owns two 68 SS Camaro 10 bolt rear cars. I'm not one to argue, so why are there articles out there that are considered truth but incorrect and how does one go about politely passing true information to the owner? I did invite him to this site to have his car researched.
